    INCLUSIVE, TRANSPARENT, AND INDEPENDENT

The LA Governance Reform Project is an independent multi-university partnership formed to develop governance reform proposals to advance a more transparent, accountable, and community-driven City of Los Angeles. The Project is funded entirely by private philanthropy and guided by non-elected community and civic leaders.

Phase One focused on an Interim Report released in June which included draft recommendations. Phase Two was focused on gathering feedback and input to inform the final recommendations released in December 2023, in time for potential inclusion on the 2024 ballot.
